Terms of use
Last updated October 28, 2026
These terms cover your use of DepoScript at depositiontomd.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use it.
The service
DepoScript reads a transcript PDF and returns Markdown in which each line keeps its page and line number, with turns, checks and a cite builder. It is software. It is not a court reporting service, it is not a law firm, it does not produce a certified transcript, and it gives no legal advice.
Acceptable use
- Upload only documents you have the right to upload.
- Do not upload forged, altered or invented documents, and do not present the output as a certified or official transcript.
- Do not upload a transcript that a protective order, a confidentiality designation, a client's instructions or a duty of confidence forbids you to send to an outside service. The privacy policy says how a file is handled here, and it is not a substitute for that review.
- Do not work around the free allowance (1 file per day, up to 10 pages, no account), the page limits or any other limit, overload the service, or probe it for weaknesses.
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful.
We may refuse or stop a request that breaks these rules.
The output is yours to check
The output is a machine reading of a PDF and can contain errors: a misread word, a lost line, a page number worked out wrongly. The checks the service reports look at the page and line numbering. They do not show that the text matches the PDF. You must compare every quotation with the certified transcript before you rely on it, file it or send it, and you are responsible for how you use the output, including any cite built from it.
No legal advice, no promise about privilege
Nothing on this site is legal advice, and using it creates no lawyer and client relationship. DepoScript does not promise that sending a document to it, or pasting its output into any other tool, preserves or waives any privilege or protection.
Plans and payment
The free allowance is 1 file per day, up to 10 pages, no account. Paid plans are monthly subscriptions paid through PayPal: Pro at $79 a month (60 transcripts a month, files up to 150 pages) and Firm at $199 a month (5 seats, 250 transcripts a month, files up to 150 pages), as shown on the pricing page. A plan's allowance is delivered as a page code, counted in pages (150 for each transcript in the plan), emailed after the first payment and topped up by each renewal. Unused pages roll over and do not expire. Cancelling stops future payments and keeps the pages already paid for. Questions about a bill and cancellations go to [email protected]. Prices and allowances can change, and the pricing page shows the current ones.
Availability
The service is provided as it is. It can be slow, limited or unavailable, and a conversion can fail. When one fails, the page shows the message it was given and does not substitute sample output.
Warranty and liability
To the extent the law allows, the service comes with no warranty of any kind, and DepoScript is not liable for loss that comes from errors in the output or from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits a right that the law does not allow to be limited.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new terms.
